Perfect location to just chill and enjoy the ambience and location and facilities. Leeann is a very friendly and engaging host. She has a genuine attitude for caring for her guests and we always feel welcomed in a personal way. I like how easy it is to use the outdoor kitchen to prepare our evening meals and just hang out on the patio or the upstairs deck. We have had wonderful breakfasts with the other guests and Leeann has provided us with lots of great places to visit.

Wonderful waterfront hacienda place with amazing rooftop view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Kootenay. I immediately fell in love with the charming hacienda style and especially the stunning rooftop terrace. Our room (Columbia) was very clean and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the comfortable king-size bed, the ample hooks in the room, the generous supply of towels, and the provision of shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The pool offered a refreshing dip and we enjoyed it immensely. I loved admiring Leanne's lovely plants around her house. Since we were traveling without a car, we found it fantastic that the accommodation included bicycles, which we could easily borrow. We were also able to borrow paddleboards and kayaks, and the beautiful bay is right on the doorstep. Leanne is a very warm and welcoming host and is always ready to help, making it easy to find your way around La Paz and the surrounding area, knowing where to eat and shop and which excursions you shouldn't miss. Every morning, Leanne prepares a delicious and varied breakfast, which you can enjoy with a view of the bay. We had a wonderful time and would come back anytime!

Beachfront gem

We loved this place! Leeann the host and her staff Alma and Jenny are all gems! The rooms were pristine with cold AC. There are 4 individual units with private baths. All the rooms have private outdoor lounge chairs and there are also several amazing shared spaces. The roof top terrace was our favorite (perfect for sunset watching and also dolphins in the bay). It's about a 10 min drive from the malecon and has a nice little beach with calm waters for kiddos. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this place for families. Would be fun to go with a few friends and rent all 4 of the rooms. Tons of games and also all the things you need for a day at the beach. I could go on and on! There is some nearby construction but that's sort of a given when traveling to an area that's growing and we didn't find it too bothersome. The neighborhood was friendly and we walked to restaurants and the grocery store (though I do recommend a car for exploring the area). The 2 dogs Rain and Sauza were so sweet with both us and our 6 year old daughter. The pic is the sunset view from the terrace. Thank you Leeann and crew for a wonderful week.

Romantic Sunsets and Beautiful Sunrises!

Casa Kootenay is right on the beach! No large hotels around this property so it supports a relaxed private atmosphere! Our room was very clean and quite large with a very comfortable kingsize bed! A full outdoor kitchen is there, should you want to cook yourself or store snacks. The breakfast consisted of fruit salad, cereal and a Mexican dish and dessert, that was made freshly everyday! Coffee was excellent, fruit juices made from the fruit trees on the property! The host provides many options for tours, and excellent choices for restaurants within walking distance. This B&B has bikes, paddle boards, and kayaks available at no cost. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place to enjoy the sun and read a book. The rooftop provided this, while the pool was great for cooling down. We highly recommend this property! The customer service provided was excellent, well worth our money! Thank you Casa Kootenay!! We'll be back!

Wonderful place with cute dogs :)

As soon as my family and I stepped foot into this beachfront house, it immediately felt like the warm embrace of home! The accommodations are cozy & Leeann is a great host (who also makes great desserts!) The two pups are also, of course, angels :)))

Amazing and chill place to stay in La Paz

We really enjoyed sitting on the patio downstairs every morning, enjoying our coffees while locals walked their dogs and jogged on the beach. We ordered delivery on Didi for lunch one day and were able to sit in the upstairs lounge space while watching local doggies play on the beach. There’s also an outdoor kitchen with everything you might need to cook or reheat meals. The two house dogs, Rain and Souza, were super sweet and loving. That really helped us with a doggy fix as we were missing our puppy at home. Leeanne was very welcoming when we arrived and showed us around the place. It’s such a cool home and is set up perfectly to be a cozy Bed and Breakfast with 4 rooms plus many nice outdoor spaces. There’s is a gate with direct access to the beach and bikes, paddle boards, and even windsurfing gear available for use. Over all we had an amazing time and we will absolutely stay there again the next time we are in La Paz.

A wonderful stay at Casa Kootenay!

Leeanne is a wonderful host! I really enjoyed her company and personality. *my fellow Canadian:) She has the best recommendations for restaurants and tours! She has been there for a really long time so she knows her stuff and all the places to go. My room was beautiful, relaxing, spacious and cool. The bed was really comfortable. Slept really well. Cecilia the cleaner, is lovely. My room was always sparkling and tidy when I came back from breakfast. The entire place and the attention to detail is so impressive. She has put her heart into each area of her B&B. Love the rooftop deck and access to the beach to walk on. Breakfast each morning by the lovely chef Alma was fantastic. There was always something different and all of it was delicious. You will definitely leave feeling full. The main area for breakfast is spacious and so comfortable. Such a nice way to start the day. If you drive this is the definitely the place to stay. If you don’t drive or have a car like me, it is a bit of a challenge to get to the Malecon area. But she has bikes you can use to get there quickly. The bike path is right outside her place. I used Uber alot and it was so cheap! You could walk which is about 45 minutes to the Malecon area, which I did one time. I really enjoyed my time here and my life introduction to charming La Paz. I highly recommend it. Such a delight! A true pearl in La Paz

Leeann is a wonderful host and her suites are clean, comfortable and in the perfect location- a real Mexican neighborhood, on the beach, just a short walk or drive to so many shops, restaurants and attractions but still very quiet and authentic. Alma's breakfast is delicious every morning! I can't recommend this inn more, its really delightful!

Vacaciones

Es nuestra primera vez en una estancia tipo bed and breakfast y no sabiamos muy bien que esperarar pero nuestra anfitriona nos recibio muy amablemente y nos explico rapida y claramente como funciona, lo cual fue muy practico para nosotros. Rico desayuno y servido generosamente, ambiente muy relajado, ubicacion conveniente, un lugar bonito y seguro ,,Gracias

Perfect place

That was the coziest place i’ve ever been, all was great, the food excellent, the location perfect, for sure i will return when i return to La Paz. If you want to rest, this is your place with no doubt, thank you so much for everything keep like that
